Living and nonliving cells

Unit 1 - Chapter 1

Before we begin the chapter some research questions are provided. Choose two and submit at least a paragraph per answer.

  • List 10 basic needs that people have in order to survive. Explain how people can get all the listed needs from their surroundings.
  • How are human needs different from the needs of plants?
  • What type of organisms would be best suited for an aquarium. Discuss the needs of each organism (food, water, oxygen, light) and what measures must be taken to ensure that the aquarium environment can meet the needs of each organism.
  • What do living things need to survive and grow?
