Whenever the phrase "a good person" is mentioned, it is common belief that such an individual posses "a true light." In other words, they're untarnished by innovations and the like. In contrast, an evil or corrupt person is considered a disbeliever or a deviant Muslim.
Their Comparison in this life:
1. Good Intentions and good deeds are expected of a righteous person. As a result, people are protected from their ill-deeds. However, the reverse is expected from an unrighteous individual. The Messenger of Allah (sallaAllahu alaihi wa sallaam) said, "Shall I not inform you of the worst among you? The worst among you is the one (people) don't expect any good from him and (they're) not safe from his evil."
On the authority of Fadalah Ibn Ubaid: the Messenger of Allah (sallaAllahu alaihi wa salaam) said, "The believer is he to whom the people entrust their possessions." Conversely, the corupt person is he who betrays the trust of the people.
