GED Short Course: The Essay

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh

For the Language Arts, Writing PreTest Part II, students are asked to write an opinion about an essay and to explain your ideas inshaAllah. It should take on average a time period of about 45 minutes. Write your essay and submit your work by email to fts.homework@gmail.com

Please title the subject line of your email: PreTest Part 2: The Essay

Topic

What is one day that you will always remember?

In your essay, identify the day and the events that occured. Then explain the reasons that the day is so memorable for you.

While preparing your essay use the following tips:

1. Read the directions and the subject of the essay carefully.

2. Think about your ideas and plan your essay before you write. (Use brainstorming or clustering to help you)

3. Use scratch paper to make notes of your ideas.

4. Write your essay in ink on two other pages of paper.

5. After finishing your work, read your paper carefully and make appropriate changes. Type the Essay an email it to your teacher.

May Allah grant you tawfeeq and give you the understanding of that which is upon beneficial knowledge aameen.
